The Adventures of Tintin. 7 Crystal Balls
The Adventures of Tintin. 7 Crystal Balls
A scientific expedition returning from South America brings with them the ancient mummy of the great Inca Rascar Capac. Soon, the expedition members one after another fall into a lethargic sleep. According to experts, this may be caused by a certain substance, traces of which are present on the fragments of crystal balls that are repeatedly found near the victims. In the clinic where the victims of the strange epidemic are taken, a new intriguing detail becomes known: every day at the same time, all seven fall into a deep trance. Has someone decided to punish those who dared to desecrate the tomb of the Inca ruler? All the newspapers are already trumpeting about it! Tintin takes up the investigation, but then Professor Tournesol disappears. The search leads Tintin and Captain Haddock to the port, where they find the professor's hat. Tintin assumes that Tournesol has been kidnapped and probably taken aboard the cargo ship Pachacamac, which has just set sail for the Peruvian port of Callao. Tintin and the captain fly there urgently.
"The Adventures of Tintin" is a world-famous comic book series by Belgian artist Georges Remi (1907-1983), who worked under the pseudonym Hergé. Risking his life, the brave reporter Tintin investigates mysterious events, but emerges victorious from all troubles. And no matter what happens, his faithful friend, the snow-white fox terrier Milou, is always by his side.
The format of the dilogy, tested by the "pirate" story ("The Secret of the Unicorn" and "The Treasure of Red Rakkam"), turned out to be so successful that Hergé also decided to make the new, "Indian" adventure of Tintin in two volumes. In 1948, the album "7 Crystal Balls" appeared, the action of which takes place in Belgium and France, and the following year a sequel was published as a separate volume - "The Temple of the Sun", the action of which is transferred to Peru.
