Three Fat Men

The work, written in 1924 on a roll of newsprint - for lack of regular paper, on the floor - for lack of a table, became a new myth and made famous its creator - the writer Yuri Karlovich Olesha.
The adventures of the fairy tale's heroes - the fearless tightrope walker Tibul, the little dancer named Suok, the courageous gunsmith Prospero and the kind doctor Gaspar Arneri - have stirred the hearts of many generations of readers. The desperate exploits of the novel's heroes, their courage, honesty and loyalty to friendship helped the people overthrow the despotic power of the Three Fat Men, and goodness and justice triumph over deception and heartlessness.
In his original project, artist Mikhail Bychkov created a special fairy-tale space on the pages of the book, surprisingly consonant with the text of Y. Olesha. His illustrations return magic and festivity to the fairy tale and give the reader a whole world of colors.
In 2024, the fairy tale novel "Three Fat Men" turns one hundred years old, its author turns one hundred twenty-five, this is a reason to republish one of the famous Russian fairy tales of the 20th century.
