There are places on Earth where fairy tales come to life. Getting there is not easy, but possible. Chukotka is one of such points on the map.
This story might not have happened, but the ornithologist dad was sent to Chukotka for work, and the whole family went with him. The heroes will visit the city of Anadyr and find out everything about the mysterious "kely", get into a storm with the red-haired captain Boroda, see a real whale and see that the mosquito people live almost the same way as people.
The collection consists of Chukchi and Eskimo tales found in the archives of the Anadyr museum, read in interlinear translations of the Eskimo epic and told by real chauchu - reindeer people living in Chukotka. Many tales are published for the first time, the rest are almost unknown to the reader.
The publication contains QR codes that can be used to listen to audio versions of some fairy tales in Russian, Chukchi and Eskimo languages.
