While walking through a flea market, Tintin sees a model of an old sailing ship and decides to give it to his friend Captain Haddock. The captain is delighted, because it is an exact copy of the Unicorn, the vessel commanded by his glorious ancestor François de Addock. At the end of the 17th century, pirates led by Red Rackam captured the ship, but Captain de Addock blew it up so that the proud frigate of His Majesty King Louis XIV would not fall into the hands of the filibusters. The ship sank in a quiet bay near an unnamed island, and with it all the treasures that the pirates managed to drag from their damaged sloop. Chevalier de Addock himself was saved and bequeathed three miniature copies of the Unicorn with a secret to his sons. Tintin is trying to unravel this secret. But, as it turns out, he is not the only one...

"The Adventures of Tintin" is a world-famous comic book series by Belgian artist Georges Remi, who worked under the pseudonym Hergé. Risking his life, the brave reporter Tintin investigates mysterious events, but emerges victorious from all troubles. And no matter what happens, his faithful friend, the snow-white fox terrier Milou, is always nearby.

The comic strip "The Secret of the Unicorn" was published in 1943. When starting work on it, Hergé first thought about an adventure in two volumes, because, despite the obvious connection, the albums "Cigars of the Pharaoh" and "The Blue Lotus" look like completely independent stories that can be read even in reverse order without losing the thread of the narrative. Here we have a classic dilogy, in the first part of which the heroes solve the secret of a sunken ship, and in the second ("The Treasure of Red Rakkam") they go in search of treasures supposedly located on board.
