To the horror of the young man, the text speaks of the possibility of getting to the center of the Earth through the crater of a volcano in Iceland. Seized by a thirst for new discoveries, the professor, without wasting time, sets off on a journey, taking with him his desperately resisting nephew. An incredible prehistoric world awaits the heroes underground - here hot rivers flow and the ocean rages, a giant mushroom forest grows and mastodons graze. The brave members of the expedition will have to survive a terrible underground storm - but only to find themselves in the mouth of an unknown active volcano ...
