The day began quite normally, but if Spiru had known what drama it would bring, he would certainly have noticed many disturbing details. In the morning, Fantasio met him in a terrible state of agitation - six of his passport photos had disappeared somewhere. Then, on a forest road behind the tennis court of a neighboring house, where a new tenant had recently moved in, Spiru found one of Fantasio's missing photos. In the evening, Spiru saw Fantasio in the company of a new neighbor, but upon noticing Spiru, for some reason they hurried to disappear into the crowd. Soon Spiru heard a cry for help coming from a jewelry store. He ran in and found himself at the scene of the crime. Fantasio arrived there after the police, and the store owner identified him as the robber who had attacked him. Fantasio told the police commissioner that he was at home when his friend Spiru called him and reported the robbery, offering to do a report on the incident while it was still fresh. But Spiru didn't call anyone... And on the evening news, Spiru was horrified to see Fantasio stealing the golden mask of the Egyptian queen from the Historical Museum, live on air! It's no wonder that after all this, Fantasio ended up in the dock. He was facing prison, and only Spiru could prove that his friend was innocent...

The perky little boy Spirou in a bright red groom's suit, who first appeared on the cover of the magazine of the same name in 1938, is a true legend of Franco-Belgian comics. For 85 years, together with his friend, the tireless journalist Fantasio, and his faithful companion, a smart squirrel named Spip, he has been traveling the world, investigating mysterious events, saving those who have gotten into trouble, restoring justice and punishing villains, and making thousands of amazing discoveries along the way. The series about his adventures has more than 50 volumes, and the opportunity to draw at least one story about Spirou is an honor for the best comics artists in Europe.

The most important event in Spirou's life was his meeting with André Franquin (1924–1997). The talented artist worked on the series for almost a quarter of a century and brought it to the level of a masterpiece of the 9th art. Eight of Franquin's best albums are published in Russian for the first time, including Spirou and the Heirs, The Marsupilami Kidnappers, The Bad Head, The Lair of the Moray Eel, and The Nest of the Marsupilami.

"The Adventures of Spiru and Fantasio" will appeal to children aged 7 and over and their parents, who will appreciate the cleverly twisted plot, humor and excellent drawing.
