First quarter

Rita and her friend Ksyusha are going to first grade for the first time. In fact, they don’t want to go to school at all, since they can neither read nor write, and, according to rumors, jumping on desks is not allowed there. But nothing can hurt to try. The girls decided – and they were right. School life immediately began to flow! The first-graders take part in fun competitions, make an unforgettable gift to their class teacher, call the Queen of Spades, open a detective agency, cause a stir in the zoo corner, fight zombies… In a word, the first quarter was a success! A new incredibly funny book from a wonderful creative tandem: finalist of the Chukovsky Prize Nina Pavlova and diploma winner of the Image of the Book Prize, artist Andrey Krysov .

Kindergarten graduate Rita, who is the narrator of this book, is very skeptical about school. But on September 1, there is only one lesson - and Rita agrees to give the educational institution a chance. At the assembly, she meets the class teacher and the guys from her 1 "B", and then it turns out that school is not hard labor, but a very interesting place where you do not want to go, but rather skip and jump, and about which former students subsequently say with a nostalgic sigh: "School years were wonderful!"

Although the students' schedule is full of lessons and tests, they still find time for "Merry Starts", a trip to the theater, and an excursion to the zoo. The newly minted first-graders manage to organize a detective agency, call the Queen of Spades, and even survive an invasion of zombie teachers - just like in the movies!

With their enthusiasm and inexhaustible fountain of ideas, the tireless "B" girls turn any, even the most ordinary event, be it a scheduled fire alarm or an open lesson, into a kaleidoscope of absurdities, funny coincidences and completely unexpected incidents. And their young class teacher Kira Ilyinichna, who became Kirilishnaya with someone's light hand, sometimes turns pale, sometimes turns green, faced with yet another artistry of the children. But at the same time, she becomes more and more tempered and attached to her students. After all, children from the book are no different from children in real life: they are just as fidgety, mischievous and dreamers, but at the same time - good comrades.
