A dog needs a person. But a person also needs a dog, sometimes even more. To show how wonderful he really is.
Finn and Fiona go to a dog shelter. There they meet Emma, a sad little dog. Her owner was a musician, but now Emma avoids people.
However, she begins to trust Finn, and the boy comes to the orphanage again and again to read her his favorite books and sing. Sing the same songs that their dad once sang to him and his sister.
And dad also spoke about the eternal harmony of things. But where to look for it? What is it hidden in? Maybe in the fact that Emma is destined to find a real home, and Finn is destined to let go of difficult feelings?
