Once, having had an accident in the Libyan desert, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was left alone with the blue sky and hot sand. The writer spent three days like this until the Little Prince, who seemed to come out of nowhere, saved him by Bedouins. That is why the desert plays a significant role in the fairy tale, where the pilot we know meets the mysterious boy, becomes imbued with his story and where he sees the Little Prince off on his return journey to his home planet.
