The Little Prince
French professional pilot, inventor, poet and writer Antoine Marie Jean-Baptiste Roger de Saint-Exupéry was born on June 29, 1900 in the castle of La Mole in Lyon and took off on his last flight on July 31, 1944 at 8:30 am from an airfield in Corsica. He left several works to all mankind as an eternal memory of himself, and one of them, the allegorical fairy tale " The Little Prince ", has become a favorite book of millions of readers in all corners of the world. "The Little Prince" first came to the Russian reader in 1959 in the translation of Nora Gal and found its own special destiny, continuing to find a response in the hearts of grateful readers generation after generation.
