Gennady Spirin (born December 25, 1948) is a modern classic of children's illustration. His work is admired by adults and children all over the world, and the artist's works are kept in private and public collections, including the Princeton University Library and the Museum of Art in Milan. The illustrations brought G. Spirin not only wide fame and love of readers, but also many awards. The artist's illustrated classics ("Kashtanka", "The Tale of Tsar Saltan", "The Nose", etc.) are especially loved by Russian-speaking readers thanks to the recognizable watercolor technique. His works are real works of art that will certainly be enjoyed by more than one generation.
