  In an attempt to cheer up a sad worm, the narrator makes the situation worse by making the worm cry. In an attempt to remedy the situation, the narrator begins to think of different ways to use tears productively.

Clouds would grow bigger and bigger, and farmers would get angry. Tears help pears grow, and pears can be made into jam. Jam makes people happy and helps stop crying... at least until it runs out!
