This colorful book is filled with pre-holiday bustle that only happens around New Year. The reader will see how Father Frost lives, look at the yard with a decorated Christmas tree, a cozy wooden house and its many inhabitants: bunnies, mice, a polar bear, bullfinches, an owl and a snowman. All of Father Frost's friends are busy helping him prepare for the New Year.
The figured pages made of thick cardboard peek out from behind one another and show different corners of the house and around it. Leafing through the book, the reader seems to look into a brightly decorated room and then goes out into the courtyard - here the deer are already waiting, ready to bring gifts.
The journey through the house is accompanied by Nina Naidenova's New Year's poem "Winter Guest" - about Father Frost and a joyful holiday.
