Princess Eliza and her eleven brothers grow up in a happy family. But everything changes when a witch stepmother appears in their house. She turns the princes into swans and throws little Eliza out of the palace...
The Wild Swans is a story about love, loyalty and salvation. The main character confronts evil will and the trials that befall her. But, as it should be in fairy tales, everything ends with deliverance from evil spells and a wedding with a beautiful king.
The illustrations for one of the most poignant fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen for this edition were drawn by the famous St. Petersburg artist Anton Lomaev
