One day, little squirrel Ryzhik found a tall and beautiful tree. How happy he was! Such a great tree – and only for him. He would live here, enjoying the silence, peace and complete freedom, and no one would disturb him!
But it soon became clear that this wonderful tree was liked not only by Ryzhik. Birds, who loved to rest on its branches, also considered the tree their home. And caterpillars, who ate tasty leaves. And bugs, who lived under the bark. And animals, who came to scratch their backs on the rough trunk... No, Ryzhik was not going to share the tree with his neighbors. Therefore, he decided to go in search of another home - just for himself.
True, he didn't manage to get far. Suddenly, Ryzhik fell into the clutches of a leopard, who, oddly enough, also considered the tree to be his own, since he loved to rest in its cool shade. In addition, the predator was sure that all the inhabitants of the tree also belonged to him, the leopard... How wrong he was. None of the insects and small animals that inhabited the tree considered themselves to be anyone's property. By joining forces, they not only saved Ryzhik, but also drove the leopard away forever.
This book will give you a reason to talk to your child about important things: about the desire to appropriate and the ability to share; about life alone and in close proximity. In other words, about life in society, in a common space, be it a family, a house, an entire city or even our entire planet.
