Anya here and there
Little Anya's life flows smoothly and happily. In the summer - in the village, with blueberry fields, tall pine trees and a warm lake. And in the winter in Moscow, with the Tretyakov Gallery and gifts from "Detsky Mir".
But one day this life ends. Now Anya lives in New York. While her parents are studying at the university, she goes to an American school, eats jam sandwiches instead of soup for lunch, looks for new friends and gets used to walking without a hat on the street.
Maria Danilova's story " Anya Here and There " was shortlisted for the Krapivin Children's Literary Prize in 2020. This is a story about growing up between two cultures, about how important it is, no matter where you are, to know that you can always return home.
