Sergei Timofeevich Aksakov (1791-1859) - Russian writer, literary and theater critic. He was born in Ufa to a noble family belonging to an old family, graduated from the Kazan gymnasium and entered the Kazan University. After university, he combined work as an official with literary activity. Sergei Timofeevich heard the fairy tale " The Scarlet Flower " many times in his childhood from the housekeeper Pelageya. He first published it in 1858 as an appendix to the book "The Childhood Years of Bagrov the Grandson". But later, the melodious Russian variation of the European plot about the beauty and the beast, written in a melodious tale, gained such popularity that it began to be published separately.
"The Scarlet Flower" is a beautiful story about courage, loyalty and love. Selfless love, capable of destroying any evil spell.
