Charlotte. How to Live in the World
Charlotte wants everyone to live well, so that there are no better and worse neighborhoods, so that light and air penetrate into the houses, so that they are far from cars...
Paris in 1903 was a very modern city and the most popular among artists - that's when Charlotte Perriand was born. An excellent athlete and music lover, she had been thinking about emptiness as a space that can accommodate everything and about architecture, which allows you to realize any, even the most daring ideas, since childhood.
Charlotte Perriand (1903–1999) was a French architect and designer. A colleague of Le Corbusier, a friend of the artist Fernand Léger and the designer Jean Prouvé, she created many iconic objects, houses and spaces, but most importantly, she invented a new way of life – when technical progress is at the service of people, making everyone’s life more comfortable, their homes brighter, and everyday things more practical.
