It is customary to take reliable and, of course, pleasant companions on a trip, even the most mundane one. Family, friends and loved ones, both two-legged and four-legged, are that very Comfortable Company that helps to overcome life's storms and make the most boring day exciting.

Five techniques of poetic speech that can be found in the book “Comfort Company” and discussed with your child:

1. Onomatopoeia

Words that arose as a result of onomatopoeia, such as "croak", "meow", "bark", "tsokat", we, of course, know. Sergey Belorusets generously uses onomatopoeic play, and new word forms arise, such as: "cozy-company", "avcharka", "Kolbaskin and Bobiks", "vezdekot".

2. Metagram

This is a type of charades, riddles, in which different words consisting of the same number of letters are hidden. And so the dog-fighter turns into a dog-warrior. And Sivka-Burka - into Syavka Bulka.

3. Homonymic game

The use of consonant words creates great stylistic possibilities, for example in the poem “Yolka”: “A cute spaniel decorates the tree with Mrs.

4. Eccentricity

Sometimes the author uses situational comedy and eccentricity at the level of words: “Mr. Moore and Lady Woof”, “Sailor Dog”, “Mr. Jack”.

5. Reversal of meaning

The book also features a technique of turning the meaning of a set expression inside out: “A kind word / Is pleasant even for a cat! / Maybe for a mouse too? / Very likely!”
