Uncle Montague's Scary Tales

Uncle Montague's Scary Tales
Uncle Montague lives in an old strange house behind the forest, and the only thing that disturbs his solitude is the visits of his nephew. It is to him that the uncle tells his scary stories, which are either made up or actually happened to the uncle himself when he was younger. The more details we learn, the more we are inclined to think that all the characters actually existed, and all the stories are based on real events.
Here's what the author himself says about the book
"The Scary Tales are collections of short, creepy tales, each book with its own narrator. And as we read, we gradually learn something about both the narrator and his audience. Each book is set in the past - the Victorian and Edwardian eras, which are the setting for many classic English ghost stories."
