"Do you have to sleep?" asks a little girl named Princess. And her parents tell her about snails that curl up into a ball when they fall asleep, and about huge whales that dance in a circle in their sleep, about a cat that has warmed itself up in the living room, and about a bear that sleeps the whole long winter. And how does a tiger sleep? The Princess imagines a warm red animal and finally falls asleep... The illustrations for this book were drawn by the famous American artist Pamela Zagarensky - and she received the Caldecott Medal for them, the most prestigious American award for children's artists. The translator Masha Lukashkina gave the text of the book a very special sound and charm.
