Roy has a lot of worries even in the summer. His beloved motorcycle can break down at any moment. And just in case, he needs to take it apart to understand how it works. And Roy is afraid of falling off the roof, so he climbs a tree just in case. But the worst thing is that a flying ghost is hunting Roy, so he hides from it under a blanket – just in case. Luckily, kind and smart Smysh is nearby. He will fix everything!
The sweet stories about two inseparable friends Smysh and Roy were written by the British writer Joyce Dunbar. And they were drawn by the wonderful British artist James Mayhew, who liked this cute couple so much that he filled their world with things and objects from his own life.
The series of books about Mr. Smysh and Mr. Roy continues the traditions of English children's literature. Funny dialogues, actions and relationships of the characters, and, most importantly, tenderness and kindness, which permeate literally every line, all this allows them to be put on a par with such classic works as "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame and "Winnie-the-Pooh" by Alan Milne. Adults will undoubtedly appreciate the subtle English humor, and children will definitely love these lively and bright characters.
