The Adventures of Tintin. The Broken Ear

A robbery has taken place at the Ethnographic Museum: a wooden idol of the Arumbaya tribe has been stolen. However, the very next day the statue is found in its rightful place. Tintin has no doubt that a fake has been returned to the museum. The original was missing a small fragment on its ear, while the returned idol has a whole ear. In pursuit of the stolen statue, Tintin boards a ship that is sailing to South America. A couple of gangsters who are hunting for the statue lure him ashore by trickery, and Tintin finds himself in the midst of revolutionary events. Power here is constantly changing hands, and oil companies are pushing the Republic of San Theodoros into war with neighboring Nuevo Rico. Tintin barely escapes from there and ends up on the Badurayal River, home to the Arumbaya, the most ferocious tribe in South America. Tintin understands that the solution must be sought there...
