Among the tales included in the collection are legends about fairy-tale creatures from Celtic and Scottish folklore, stories about friendship, love and fidelity, as well as interesting, very unusual and extremely instructive Scottish versions of the well-known tales of Kolobok and Little Red Riding Hood.
The tales are written in a beautiful literary language with a fair share of humor, superbly translated and edited, and also specially adapted by the author-compiler of the book for preschool children. They perfectly convey the atmosphere of the fairy-tale world of Celtic and Scottish folklore, unique ancient traditions and the spirit of this special country.
The illustrations for the book were done by the famous Scottish artist Kate Leeper.
