The heroes of "The Blue Bird", teenage schoolchildren, face life's difficulties. Each of them has their own hard time and it seems that the situation is hopeless. Murauchi-sensei, a Japanese teacher, comes to their aid.
Oral speech is torture for him - he stutters, so he tries to talk only about what is important. Listening, being there and helping in time - that's what he works for at school.
