Blue Bird
Blue Bird
Maurice Maeterlinck was a Belgian writer, philosopher, and Nobel Prize laureate in literature. In 1905, he wrote the parable play The Blue Bird, which became one of the main events of the 20th century: it was staged in theaters, made into films, and recorded for radio. The writer's common-law wife, Georgette Leblanc, made a children's fairy tale version of the play. Filled with kindness and faith, the tale of the Blue Bird, a symbol of happiness and hope, continues to touch people's hearts and win fans around the world.
On Christmas night, the fairy Beriluna knocked on the door of brother and sister Tyltyl and Mytil. Her granddaughter was ill, and only the Blue Bird could help her. But where to look for her? The children had to complete this difficult task. The living Bread, Sugar, Fire and Water came to their aid, as well as the faithful dog Tilo and the cunning cat Tiletta. The heroes had a difficult journey ahead: they would look into the halls of the Night, visit the Land of Memories, and visit the Kingdom of the Future. However, the Blue Bird was nowhere to be found.
