The Adventures of Spiru and Fantasio. Spiru and the Heirs

Fantasio learns that his uncle, whom he last saw at his christening, has died and left a will to his nephews. The inheritance will go to the one who successfully passes three tests. There are two contenders - Fantasio and his cousin Zantafio.

In the first test, they have to invent a new socially useful device. After unsuccessful attempts to make something original, Fantasio builds a fantasycopter. Cousin Zantafio, having spied on Fantasio's idea, also decides to make a flying machine, but not himself, but orders it from an experienced mechanic for money. It is clear that his zantaget demonstrates the best flight qualities during the tests. However, the desire to show off leads to a fire, and only thanks to Spear, who controls the fantasycopter, is it possible to avoid a tragedy.

In the second round of the battle for the inheritance, the rivals must take part in a car race and finish in the top six. To master their driving skills, Fantasio and Zantafio enroll in the Turbo car society for training. Five days before the start of the Cucuson Grand Prix, the main Turbo pilots suddenly disappear, and the manager has no choice but to replace them with trainee pilots. Fantasio finishes third, despite all of Zantafio's attempts to put a spoke in his wheel. A month later, at another Grand Prix, Zantafio comes in first, but that race is marked by accidents, and the winner is the only one who avoided a collision. In addition, three pilots mysteriously disappeared there too. An investigation is launched, but Spirou and Fantasio already know who is behind it!

In the third test, the rivals must catch and give the zoo a marsupilami, a rare animal about which science knows little. Spiru and Fantasio set off for Palumbia. Overcoming difficulties and dangers in the wilds of the Palumbian forest, at the foot of the volcano, our travelers find the one they are looking for. And Fantasio gets his inheritance!

The perky little boy Spirou in a groom's suit, who first appeared on the cover of the magazine of the same name in 1938, is a true legend of Franco-Belgian comics. For 85 years, together with his friend, the tireless journalist Fantasio, and his faithful companion, a smart squirrel named Spip, he has been traveling the world, investigating mysterious events, saving those who have gotten into trouble, restoring justice and punishing villains. The series about his adventures has more than 50 volumes, and the opportunity to draw at least one story about Spirou is an honor for the best comics artists in Europe.

The most important event in Spirou's life was his meeting with André Franquin (1924–1997). The talented artist worked on the series for almost a quarter of a century and brought it to the level of a masterpiece of the 9th art. Eight of Franquin's best albums are published in Russian for the first time, including Spirou and the Heirs, The Marsupilami Thieves, Rhinoceros Horn, The Moray Eel's Lair, and The Marsupilami Nest.
