This is the second book in the trilogy about Matthias and his friends. Its author is Barbro Lindgren. The writer's talent was discovered by Astrid Lindgren, her namesake. The series about Matthias was Barbro's debut; stories about him were published by Raben & Sjogren, where Astrid worked as an editor. Since then, the books have been translated into thirty languages, published in the USSR and Russia. Barbro herself became a laureate of the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Prize and... her namesake Astrid.
