In January 2003, the book's protagonist found a postcard from an anonymous sender in her mailbox. On one side of the postcard was a picture of the Paris Opera building, and on the other were the names of the narrator's maternal great-grandparents and two other relatives who died in Auschwitz in 1942.
Twenty years later, the heroine decides to find out who sent this postcard.
While learning about the world, don't forget to learn about yourself... This is a very simply written book. But it is a family saga, a historical detective story and an experience of social psychotherapy all at once! There will be many celebrities and a bunch of unknown characters who have generously tasted the worries and hopes of the 20th century. They will travel around the world, hide, save someone, sacrifice someone. Disappear and be reborn in their descendants.
It is not easy to translate such a story! Wandering with the characters across the map of Europe and the world, we checked every landscape, every melody, smell, quote, biography...
So that the reader could feel the spirit of the times and feel himself its heir, and, in learning about the world, learn about himself.
