In the final, fifth book of the North Sea Detectives series, Emma and Lukas Janssen become treasure hunters. And along the way, they help the police catch two escaped prisoners.
The morning after a storm tide, while walking with her brother Lucas in the wadden sea, Emma finds an old bottle covered in shells. The bottle contains a letter mentioning gold and jewelry hidden on some island. The next day, sensational news is reported on the radio: a sunken ship has been found on the beach in Norddeich! The brother and sister realize that these events are connected and begin an investigation. Suddenly, the guys have competitors: the bandits Pocket and Longhorn, who escaped from prison, get on board the ship and get their hands on a map indicating the location of the buried treasure. Whether the pirate treasure really exists and who will be the first to get to it, the reader will find out from the fifth book of the series "North Sea Detectives".
Red-haired Emma and Lukas Janssen are observant, smart and fearless guys. And they complement each other perfectly. And the fact that they are still children only helps them to penetrate where not every adult would go.
A fascinating plot, cute characters, ironic illustrations and an excellent translation by Pavel Frenkel are a guarantee that the child will read the book from the first to the last page without stopping.
