The Adventures of Tintin. First Steps on the Moon
The launch of a lunar rocket took place at the Atomic Research Center in Sbroj, Sildavia, with Tintin and Milu, Captain Haddock, Professor Tournesol and Engineer Wolf on board. The Mission Control Center anxiously awaits the first conquerors of space to wake up after the launch overloads, but all attempts to contact them are futile: there is still no response signal. And somewhere far away, unknown people are listening to the Earth's call signs: for them, the lunar mission is of more than just scientific interest... This is how the second part of the lunar thriller begins, which keeps the reader in suspense until the last pages. An endless series of incredible events calls into question the very possibility of the heroes' safe return to Earth.
"The Adventures of Tintin" is a world-famous comic book series by Belgian artist Georges Remi, who worked under the pseudonym Hergé. Risking his life, the brave reporter Tintin investigates mysterious events, but emerges victorious from all troubles. And no matter what happens, his faithful friend, the snow-white fox terrier Milou, is always nearby.
The idea of a space adventure came to Hergé in the mid-1940s and turned out to be so large-scale that Hergé decided to return to the form of a dilogy, which had proven itself in two previous stories - "pirate" and "Inca". The first part of Tintin's lunar journey "Course to the Moon" was published in 1950 in the Tintin magazine, and in 1953 it came out as an independent album. In 1954, the final part of the dilogy "First Steps on the Moon" was published, which, without exaggeration, became prophetic.
