Numicon is a unique game made of flat plastic parts of different colors with holes for teaching children mathematics, arithmetic and geometry, developed using a special method in Great Britain. Now Numicon is used in kindergartens and schools in many countries. This book comes with a set of parts made of thick paper.
How to play Numicon? Each piece has one or more holes, into which children can put their finger to count. All pieces have a specific color: all "threes" are yellow, all "fives" are red, all "nines" are purple, all "tens" are blue, etc. All pieces with an even number of holes have the shape of a rectangle with a side of 2. All "odd" pieces have a protrusion - children say that they "have a tail" or "this is a house with a chimney."
