Is it possible to live without metals in everyday life? Imagine that they suddenly disappeared - no cars, no trains, no machine tools, no ordinary knife or screwdriver! And if metals disappeared completely, then our planet itself would disappear: a void would form in place of its iron core. The magnetic field that the core creates would also disappear, and there would be no one to protect us from cosmic radiation.
And a person without metals would not live for a second. Without calcium, teeth and bones would crumble into powder, without iron, blood would stop carrying oxygen throughout the body, and without magnesium, plants would stop releasing this oxygen.
Of course, you can't tell everything about metals and their features in a small book. But it is absolutely clear: a modern person cannot do without knowledge about metals!
