The Little Prince

The amazing fairy tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was born during the most terrible war in the history of mankind and became a real miracle. It resurrected love in souls, gave people hope, consoled in trouble. And it is not surprising that the story of the Little Prince has remained with us forever - like the light of those distant stars that comes to us from the depths of the Universe.
The author himself created the first pencil drawings for the fairy tale and told about them in the book, as if laughing at himself. And then artists in different years in all corners of the world recreated the images of the characters again and again, as if trying to understand the secret of the Little Prince.
The childhood of the contemporary Italian artist Paolo Proietti coincided with the peak of popularity of Japanese comics and animation in Europe - manga and anime. He graduated from the International School of Comics in Rome in the graphics course, and calls the famous Japanese director and animator Hayao Miyazaki the main inspiration for his work.
In Paolo Proietti's illustrations for "The Little Prince," golden-ash tones alternate with silvery-blue, and as we leaf through this book, we seem to live day after day with the main character. And the soft scarlet rose on the last pages helps us believe that the wonderful little boy will definitely return someday.
