About the fate of the Little House, which is the main character of the book. Once it was built, and a covenant was pronounced: this house will stand for a long, long time and the great-grandchildren of our great-grandchildren will live in it. The house meets summer and winter, morning and night, rejoices in the blossoming apple trees and the first snowflakes, it observes the life of the people who live in it. But over time, the quiet village life begins to encroach on the city. It is getting closer and closer, and now the Little House finds itself in its very center, surrounded by skyscrapers, roaring electric trains, rumbling trams and hurrying people. Its owners left it long ago. The tragedy is that the crazy rhythm of the city cannot be accepted by the Little House. That rhythmic life, in harmony with nature, is no longer available to it. And its owners abandoned it long ago. The house has fallen into disrepair. Then the incredible happens. And at the end of the story, the Little House moves to the meadow with daisies and apple trees that is so dear to him, and returns to his natural state.
