Katamino are wooden pieces that can be used in a variety of ways: as unusual pieces to complement a regular set of cubes, as a puzzle for one, or as a board game for two. Pentomino are usually flat figures, each made up of five identical squares connected by their sides. Just as the game "Tetris" uses tetramino figures made up of 4 squares, so we have all kinds of figures made up of 5 squares. There are exactly 12 pentomino figures in total. In the proposed version of the game, these figures have volume so that three-dimensional figures can be assembled from them, i.e. they consist not of squares, but of cubes. The set of classic "pentaminos" is supplemented by three figures made up of one, two, and three cubes, respectively. Some adults, having bought a box with a construction set, game, or puzzle, give it to a child, hoping that he or she will figure out how to use them. However, children themselves may not always notice all possible options for using games and solving puzzles. It will be better if you first play a little with your child. You can come up with tasks for each other with your child and draw them on square cells or in isometric - on triangular "cells". Didactic games, such as "Put the pattern" cubes and katamino, should not be lying around in a common toy box, otherwise the parts will get lost, break and it will no longer be possible to play by the rules together. It is better to store katamino separately from other cubes, on a shelf with board games. Here are some tasks that you can offer to children:o Assemble a figure according to the diagram.o Assemble your own figure and draw it.o Build a three-dimensional figure or assemble a cube from the available set of parts.o Make any symmetrical figureo Draw a front, side, and top view of the built figure.o Build a figure according to the front, side, and top views.o Build a figure according to the isometric view and color it.o Build what you want and draw your construction in isometric view. Many children like to come up with names for their pictures or collect pictures that seem similar to something recognizable to them: you can build an arch, a house with windows, a dog, a giraffe... Come up with your own games and tasks for katami, don't limit yourself to what we have drawn!
