Flip was a very absent-minded boy. He was always forgetting little things: like combing his hair or making his bed. And one night he forgot to do something really important: turn off the faucet in the bathroom and take the plug out of the sink. And so, while Flip was sleeping, water filled first the bathroom, then the whole house, and finally the whole street and the whole city disappeared under water.
Flip caused a worldwide flood! But what happened next?
The fish and other sea creatures were happy. They didn't know how to thank Flip and proclaimed him their hero. But the animals and birds, on the contrary, were not delighted with the new state of affairs. The water even covered the mountains, so that none of them had a place to live and nothing to eat. And when Flip realized what he had done, he immediately rushed to fix everything. He dove deeper, found his street and his house underwater and pulled the plug out of the sink!
After that, everything in the world became as before... well, or almost.
This humorous picture book will not only make readers laugh, but also make them think about serious things. For example, that any action has consequences, and these consequences may not be pleasant or useful for everyone. Not everything that is good for one is good for others. After reading this book, you can discuss with your child how important it is to be able to take the other person's side, to put yourself in their shoes and look at the situation from the other side.
