One autumn day, a hedgehog named Yezhulya finished making herself a cozy nest for hibernation and was about to climb into it, when suddenly a large red apple fell from somewhere above onto her back. The apple was heavy and stuck tightly in the thorns, but that was only half the trouble. The worst thing was that with a huge apple on her back, Yezhulya could no longer crawl into her own nest! And if it weren’t for a lucky chance, the poor thing would have had to spend the winter outside.
