Winter quarters of animals
Winter quarters of animals
One day, a bull, a ram, a pig, a goose, and a rooster met in the forest. Each left his yard "to seek summer from winter." To hide from the cold, they worked hard and built themselves a warm hut. Unfortunately, a fox, a wolf, and a bear found out about them. They decided to attack the hut, eat everyone, and then live in the warmth themselves. But, as is supposed to be in fairy tales, good always triumphs over evil. The friendly animals drove away the greedy predators and began to live for themselves, not knowing any grief.
The text of the fairy tale, as adapted by the Russian writer and folklorist M.A. Bulatov, is organically supplemented by carefully executed, realistic and at the same time absolutely fabulous drawings by the artist and sculptor, the founder of Russian animal painting D.V. Gorlov.
