"Mango Gods" is the fifth part of "Beastly Detective". Badgers of the Far Forest Police go on a mission to the African savannah to investigate the case of the kidnapping of a baby of the Exquisite Giraffes, the newborn giraffe Rafik. Mortal danger accompanies the Badgers of the Police constantly. After all, the Far Sparse Forest spares no one: neither strangers nor their own. This is a terrible and dangerous place where cruelty and lawlessness reign, brutal sacrifices are made and the law of the strong is in effect.
But for a brave and honest beast, the Sparse Forest can also become a place of power, helping the beast find himself and true love. Badger the Elder, Badgercat and Vulture the Vulture do not retreat in the face of difficulties. They conduct an investigation, guided by the fair principles by which the inhabitants of their native Far Forest live.
However, untangling this complex case does not mean winning. It is necessary to tell the inhabitants of the Sparse Forest the hard truth that has been revealed. But the powers that be do not need the truth at all.
