Greg Heffley and sports don't mix at all.
After failing at a school competition, Greg decides his athletic career is not destined to happen. But his mother convinces him to give the sport another chance, and he reluctantly agrees to play basketball. Or rather, to try it out.
The training ends with another failure, and this time Greg is absolutely sure that he will not pass the selection. But suddenly he gets into the team - the worst of all. The chances of winning against them are negligible, but in sports anything can happen. Even if the ball is in the hands of Greg, who is absolutely sure that sports are not his thing.
