“The Alaska Sanders Case” is a new novel by Swiss writer Joël Dicker, in which the reader will meet the already familiar characters from the bestseller “The Truth About the Harry Quebert Case”. Once again, the detective story centers on a high-profile murder that turns the prosperous life of a small town in New Hampshire upside down. The body of a young girl is found in the woods on the shore of a lake. Sergeant Perry Gahalowood takes up the case, and after a few days the investigation is completed: the suspects confess to the murder. But eleven years later, the sergeant receives an anonymous message, and it becomes clear that there was a mistake. Together with writer Marcus Goldman, they reopen the case to find the real criminal, and at the same time come face to face with their ghosts of the past.
