It's no secret that Pettson is a slightly absent-minded old man. He may have flour under the sofa and pepper in the bicycle basket. His wonderful recipes are scattered all over the house. One day, Findus the kitten decided it was time to collect them in a cookbook, and this is what came out of it! Pettson and Findus will teach you how to bake pies and buns, cook soups, jelly, porridge and even make carrot marmalade. Pettson's recipes are very simple and delicious, and each of them is preceded by a short story from the life of the old man and the kitten. Older children can cook most of the dishes themselves, and for the little ones there are simpler tasks that Findus usually performs: roll meatballs from minced meat, mix sauce, measure out milk and flour or pound crackers.
