Ruse Lagercrantz (born 1947) is the most recognized and famous children's writer in modern Sweden, winner of the August Strindberg and Astrid Lindgren prizes. The Dunne and Happiness series has been translated into dozens of languages, included in the New York Times list of best children's books, and nominated for the Saucière Prize (France) and the German Children's Literature Prize.
