A sincere and funny story of a first-grader about the life of his family. Every day is filled with different events, to which adults do not always react the way the child would like. And in this whirlwind, it is very important to maintain mutual understanding.

The books of the Hungarian writer Eva Janikowska, written from the perspective of a child and filled with sparkling humor and light irony, have become classics of children's literature. But they are also read with great pleasure by adults, for whom it is very important to understand how their children live and feel.
The main feature of Eva Janikowski's unique books is the amazing capacity and simplicity of short texts that reveal the inner world of a child with impeccable accuracy. And in addition, this is a kind of dialogue on non-standard topics between children and adults, which helps to reduce the gap between generations.
Eva Janikowski graduated from two universities: first in her hometown of Szeged and then in Budapest. She studied philosophy, ethnography, psychology, sociology and devoted most of her life to working with children and young people. It is not surprising that her works have been translated into thirty-five languages and have been awarded numerous prestigious literary prizes and awards, including the German Literary Youth Prize. The writer became a Knight of the International Order of the Smile, which is awarded to famous people who bring joy to children, and was also awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic. Children's plays have been staged based on her books, and several cartoons have been released.
The permanent illustrator of Eva Janikowski's books was the Hungarian artist Laszlo Reber, winner of the German Youth Literary Prize and the Hans Christian Andersen Prize, as well as the winner of many other awards. It was L. Reber who managed to convey the inner world of a child in his works most reliably.
