"A Birthday That Went According to Plan"

Dreamy little elephant Bo meets a nimble little mouse Felix on the street, and they both realize that they want to be friends. But how do you become friends? For example, by eating a pound of salt together or sharing joy. The little elephant's birthday is coming up, and Felix decides to throw a party for Bo. They make a plan: a concert, a pie, balloons, a surprise! The birthday party is a great success, and little elephant Bo makes an important discovery: joy doesn't become less if you share it with someone.

"The Big Journey of a Little Seed"

A gust of spring wind carries Felix into Bo's house. The mouse takes a small seed out of his pocket. It's time to think about the harvest! What will grow from this seed is unknown. Felix wants it to be a round head of cheese. And Bo dreams of a flower - big and beautiful. They plant the seed in the city park, water it, watch it hatch and reach for the sun, save it from the encroachments of the goat Buryan and from the summer drought. Bo is happy with the huge flower, and Felix is ​​happy with the round fruit. And then the whole city rejoices at the harvest. It turns out that the elephant and the mouse grew a huge pumpkin, enough to feed everyone!

This book was conceived and drawn by the artist Alena Chernaya. At first, stories were born that she told to her little daughter and other children. The heroes of these stories are never bored, and miracles happen to them in the most ordinary places: at home, on the street, in the park. Then the idea of ​​the book arose and illustrations appeared. In 2019, the series "About the Big and the Small" won the "Book Image" competition in the "Author's Book" nomination.
