The little red tractor – Traktorishka Max – was born quite recently. It had just been assembled at the factory and was immediately sent to be sold to a farm equipment store. “I wish they would buy me soon,” Max dreamed. He couldn’t wait to get to the farm to start working. And one day his dream came true.
The farm owner and his family were very happy to see Traktorishka. At first, everything around him was new to Max, but he quickly got used to the farm and soon became an indispensable assistant. In the spring, he plowed the fields and sowed wheat, in the summer he carried heavy loads and looked after the livestock, and in the fall he harvested grain and sugar beets. At the end of autumn, when all the work was finished, Traktorishka was afraid that the farmer no longer needed him and that he would be sent back to the store.
But of course, that didn't happen. The farmer took Traktorishka to the shop just for repairs. The mechanic refreshed Max, fixed his headlight, straightened the dented exhaust pipe and painted over the scratches on the body. Max was happy to return to his native farm. Now he knew for sure that he was loved here and would never be parted with.
This book will introduce kids to life on a farm, seasonal field work and the important role a tractor plays in it.
