This is not an ordinary book, but a flip book that can be read from either end. In it, two stories - the story of the Hedgehog and the story of the Turtle - converge into one exactly in the middle!
The Story of the Hedgehog. The Hedgehog was very, very lonely. And one day he became so sad that he couldn't get any sadder. The Hedgehog wanted someone to just hug him. But no one wanted to hug the poor Hedgehog - not the fox, not the squirrel, not the magpie. They all found various excuses, just not to touch his prickly needles. The wise owl advised the Hedgehog not to be upset and said that the world is big, and someday he will meet the one and only who will want to hug him. "If the world is so big, how will I find the one and only who will hug me?" - the Hedgehog became even more frightened, and at that very moment... he saw the Turtle.
The Turtle's Story. The Turtle was very, very lonely. And one day she became so sad that she couldn't be sadder. The Turtle wanted someone to hug her. But neither the badger, nor the rabbit, nor the frog wanted to touch her hard shell. The wise owl advised the Turtle not to be upset and said that the world is big, and someday she will meet the one and only who will want to hug her. "If the world is so big, how will I find the one and only who will hug me?" the Turtle thought sadly, and at that very moment... she saw the Hedgehog.
And then, of course, the Hedgehog and the Turtle rushed towards each other and hugged each other tightly! And both became the happiest in the world!
"Hug Me" is a funny and touching story about a real miracle that can happen to anyone, even if it seems completely impossible.
