Jonas and his parents move to a new town, where the streets are flooded during floods and heavy rains. Just a few weeks after moving, the boy finds a tiny sailor in the basement, who imagines himself to be Mr. Ocean. He was washed overboard his own ship during a storm and washed up on the basement stairs of Jonas's house.
Soon the boy develops warm feelings for the little sea wolf, and they become best friends. But the call of the sea sounds in the heart of Mr. Ocean stronger every day: he dreams of a ship on which he will set sail again. Jonas does not want to part with his only friend - but the ship must appear!
