Joining a frog choir is every frog's dream. Little Busya has a beautiful voice, but she is not tall enough, and the choirmaster Lyutik did not dare to take her into the choir until Busya grows up. Lyalya is stately, noticeable, but she has big problems with her hearing and voice: as soon as she started singing, everyone around covered their ears and ran in different directions.
The girlfriends suffer because their dream did not come true. But they do not give up and are determined to show everyone what they are capable of. To do this, Busya jumps into Lyalya's mouth and sings. Those around her, including the choirmaster Lyutik, think that Lyalya has suddenly developed a genius vocal talent.
With the help of such a simple deception, the girls get into the choir, but Lyalya is tormented by her conscience. Besides, Lyalya is an excellent cook in life, she cooks with imagination, and for this she does not need to cheat: soup with water lily roots and a pie with dragonfly wings and ant eggs are a huge success with all the inhabitants of the pond.
At the end of the book, both Lyalya and Busya are doing what they love and what they do best.
The book, at first glance, is light in content, but serious in conclusions. A child can make them with the help of an adult. It is not easy to find your business, it is not easy to determine your place in life, but you must try, compare and in no case try to deceive others. And luck will definitely smile on all hardworking and persistent.
